Chiropractic adjustments are the "art of chiropractic" and are applied
to spinal malfunctions, called subluxations in order to remove the
interference to the spinal cord and the nerves, which exit between the
vertebrae (bones of the spine). Science has found that the nervous
system controls all of the tissues of the body, therefore when a nervous
system functions at its best facilitates the body's ability to cope with
injury and disability. Chiropractic care involves the adjustment of both
the spinal and extremity joints for the purpose of restoring optimal
function of the joint and it's surrounding soft tissue/nervous tissue.
